Cape Town Music Week kicked off yesterday! There will be musical goodies happening all week so jump in and get involved! Viva Cape Town Music Week =)

Yesterday's launch was a collaboration between Black Mango, Bridges for Music and Era to bring together people and talk about the ins and outs of taking local music internationally, bringing international interest to South Africa. The panelists have been to Glastonbury, Tomorrowland and other HUGE events, and bring back the knowledge and experience necessary to elevate the Cape Town scene =)

This past Heritage Day was spent at Kwa Sec in Gugulethu documenting Jazz In The Native Yard's presents Township Jazz Heritage. Celebrating the rich jazz history of South Africa's diverse people with good home cooked food, cold drinks and happy soul people =)

Heritage will not be forgotten
if we remember to come back home to the roots
once in a while.
